Time Standards for Making Camp: (At the Time Trial) Boys -- sub-12 minutes; Girls -- sub-14:30 minutes
Time Trial: July 17th (2 miles on the track)
Dates: July 29 - August 3
Location: Big Bear Lake
Cost: $300 -- covers transportation, housing, breakfast + snacks... (athletes will purchase their own lunch and dinner each day and some activities while at camp) - Checks are due on 7/15 at the camp meeting.
Spending Money: $100-150 - to pay for lunch and dinner and additional snacks ... as well as for fun activities such as bowling, alpine sled, miniature golf, etc ... and souvenirs.
Available Camp Spots: Top 10 boys and 10 girls -- This is a high intensity camp that demands that those going are in good enough shape to train twice per day.
Camp Purpose: Camp is intended for a varsity team member and is designed to serve as a team bonding experience. Athletes in attendance will have earned their spot during the summer training and from the time trial. Training during the camp week will be harder than any other week during the season. We will be training with the mindset that we have a common goal to win the league title on both boys' and girls' sides and to place high in the CIF rankings.
