Summer Mileage
Summer training is the foundation for having a successful cross country season. In fact, even your track season will benefit from what you do in the summer. Many successful cross country programs will adopt a "Mileage Running Club" to encourage building a base of high mileage. There's no better time of year than the summer because you have more time to rest between runs. That's right! Plan on running a few double-days during your weekly mileage. It's what all the great runners do. So, make sure to download one of the mileage sheets to the right ... Also, please refer to the video on how to use them. It's pretty straight forward, but I do explain a few things that may prove to be helpful. If you're unsure of what mileage plan is right for you, please see me so I can guide you.
